Product Overview

An H beam is a steel shape that looks like a capital H. The two wide flanges and the middle web work together, so a single beam carries a very heavy load without bending, and in many frames one H beam replaces several smaller sections. That is the reason it has become the default choice for industrial buildings, warehouses and multi storey steel structures.

We supply the section in three ways so that one supplier can cover both the standard market and the project market. Hot rolled H beams come from the mill in universal beam UB and universal column UC profiles and are ready to erect. Welded H beams are built up from plates, which allows any web height and flange width, including tapered and heavy members. H section columns are delivered with base plates, end plates, stiffeners and bolt holes already finished, so they go straight into the frame.

Steel grades range from Q235B and Q345B to S235JR, S275JR, S355JR, S355J2, ASTM A36, A572 Gr.50 and A992, and each member keeps its heat number so the material can be traced back to the mill certificate. Surface protection is chosen to suit the site: shot blasting with primer and top coat for indoor work, or hot dip galvanizing between 65 and 200 microns for outdoor, coastal and humid conditions.

Typical applications are workshop and warehouse portal frames, mezzanine floors, crane runway girders, roof trusses and purlins, bridges and walkways, equipment support frames, solar mounting structures and complete prefabricated steel buildings.

Straight and accurate. CNC cutting and automatic welding keep every member inside tolerance, which means parts fit the first time and there is no cost for site rework or reaming.

Rust protection that lasts. A zinc layer of 65 to 200 microns normally protects outdoor steel for 20 to 30 years without repainting, which is ideal for ports, coastal plants and humid climates.

One supplier, no gaps. Cutting, welding, drilling, galvanizing, marking and packing all happen in our own workshops, so nothing waits between different suppliers and nobody blames anybody else for a delay.

Easy to inspect and document. Every bundle ships with a mill test certificate and an inspection file, which makes customs clearance, site acceptance and client approval straightforward.

Customization and Fabrication

We work from your structural drawings, BIM model or a simple sketch. Non standard web and flange sizes, tapered beams, built up sections and spliced long members are all normal work for us. Cutting is done by CNC flame or plasma, bolt holes are CNC drilled, and we also handle cope and notch, camber, end milling, base plates, end plates, gusset plates, stiffeners and shear studs.

Surface protection can be hot dip galvanizing from 65 to 200 microns, a duplex system, or a RAL top coat matched to your project, and members can be marked with piece numbers, barcodes or your own labels. Packing follows a loading plan issued for your approval, using steel strapped bundles, plastic film and plywood protection for sea transport. If your specification calls for EN 1090 EXC2, AISC or AS/NZS, tell us at the enquiry stage and we confirm the applicable route in the quotation.

Production follows four documented steps: material from approved mills with the heat number recorded on every member, CNC cutting and submerged arc welding followed by straightening and shot blasting, then fit up, weld visual and dimensional checks plus galvanizing thickness checks, and finally a pre shipment inspection with a photo report. Third party inspection by SGS or BV can be arranged at any stage.
